Ganbaatar Choimbol- Master Painter

Ganbaatar Choimbol is a master painter with over 40 years of experience whose career has left an indelible mark on both Mongolian and international art. Educated at the University of Art and Culture and the Fine Art College in Ulaanbaatar, he has worked across disciplines — from historical painting and murals to illustration, children’s textbooks, and contemporary fine art.

Ganbaatar has held solo exhibitions in France, the United States, Mongolia, Russia, and Singapore, with notable shows in New York, Washington, DC, Denver, and Perpignan, France. His work has also been included in major group exhibitions across Japan, China, New Zealand, Korea, England, France, and the USA, positioning him as a global cultural ambassador of Mongolian art.

Beyond the gallery, his large-scale public murals in the United States — from Washington, DC, to Los Angeles and Sacramento — showcase his ability to merge fine art with community engagement. His participation in international competitions such as the International Society of Caricature Artists and Art Expo New York has earned him multiple awards, including Best Art Award by the Union of Mongolian Artists, the North Star Award from the Mongolian Government, and several top recognitions from ISCA for color, style, and caricature innovation.

As a member of the Union of Mongolian Artists and the International Society of Caricature Artists, Ganbaatar continues to expand his practice while mentoring the next generation of artists. His work is celebrated for its versatility — moving fluidly between fine art, caricature, and monumental public art — and for its enduring power to connect across cultures.
